Agreed, but it’s important to remember, not everyone can leave the toxic job they are in. They need to pay their rent. They have a family they support. They have student loans and/or debt.
For those of you “stuck,” don’t struggle alone. Reach out to friends. Reach out to family. Reach out to your network. Try to reinforce work-life balance and personal boundaries. Find time to check in with yourself — mentally, physically, and emotionally.
You will find the right place but survival comes first. Take care of yourself. And, as you have time, search for your next step.
You will get through this. I know because I have.
