Today is #NationalImmigrantsDay.
The holiday was popularized during the Reagan administration, when immigration was still widely celebrated. Over the last two decades, and particularly since 9/11, we have seen immigration become more politicized, and the holiday naturally lost traction and attention.
Knotch was founded by two immigrants, Anda Gansca & Aron Tzimas. We know and see everyday the value and diverse perspective immigrants bring with them to this country. It's why today, we launch our new series "Opportunity Makers," profiling immigrant leaders and highlighting their stories.
