Today, #TransDayOfRemembrance, we mourn the transgender and gender non-conforming people who lost their lives to violent, fatal incidents in 2021.
This was the deadliest year on record.
The second, you ask? Last year.
We as a society are not doing enough to protect the trans and GNC community.
We must do more elevate their stories and work to eradicate the violence experienced by the community.
The trans and GNC community deserve better. They deserve more from us. They deserve to live.
